Minor Injuries Result From Accident on 18th Avenue

COLUMBUS - A driver was checked out but not transported, after their car was totaled on 18th Avenue. The Platte County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska State Patrol, and Columbus Fire and Rescue responded to the accident on 18th Street, north of Lost Creek Parkway, and just south of Lake  North. A car driving on 18th Avenue attempted to turn into the Bark Park, parking lot, when their vehicle was rear-ended by a pickup, said authorities. The car was totaled and both vehicles had to be towed away, said an authority on scene. The driver was checked out by medical personnel on scene for minor injuries, but was not transported to the hospital via ambulance, said authorities. Authorities cleared the scene just after 4 p.m. on Monday.
