Mid-Plains Community College Input Session Held On Broken Bow Campus

BROKEN BOW—Mid-Plains Community College was in Broken Bow on Wednesday, September 19 holding their community input sessions on the Broken Bow Campus. The sessions were designed to gather input from community members to work together to sustain thriving communities through educational opportunities and partnerships as well as to create a 2019-2022 Strategic Plan.

There were two sessions held on Wednesday with the first one being an invite only session with business leaders, school members, and media. The discussions were held in smaller groups allowing easier conversing which was recorded and logged for later use by the college. The main focus of this session was gathering ideas and thoughts of those who are or will be directly affected by the college.

The groups were broke into specific categories depending on their impact, for example, a large portion of the school members in attendance were grouped into a table, business leaders another table, public information another table, and so on. Each group was asked a series of questions by the MPCC representative at each table and answers depended on how each question impacted each business, school, etc.

That evening, the public was invited to the final session to also voice their opinions and give input on what MPCC can do to help each individual. MPCC’s goal of each session was to simply find out what they can do to help everyone and become more than just a two-year college.

All of the staff was very adamant on making sure everyone knew that if someone has a question or concern to not hesitate to contact the college. They want to be seen as approachable and be able to talk to those who have concerns.

If you have a question or concern please feel free to go to www.mpcc.edu, click on the “contact” tab in the top right corner of the page, and find the number for the appropriate college.
