Merrick County, “Roads are Drifting Shut, Visibility is Zero”

CENTRAL CITY - The Merrick County Sheriff's Office is asking motorists to stay off there roadways, because of severe drifting and visibility issues. The sheriff's office posted on Facebook, that wind is causing roads within the county to drift shut, and say visibility is zero percent at times. All highways throughout Merrick County are completely covered in snow according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. The sheriff's office says travel remains extremely hazardous.
