STAPLETON, NEB. – McPherson and Logan County Farm Bureaus will be hosting a Cow/Calf Symposium on Jan. 7, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. (CST) at the Stapleton Community Center. The Symposium is free and open to the public.
The Cow/Calf Symposium seeks to bring together friends, family, and others involved in the cattle industry for an afternoon of speakers and discussion on the latest industry happenings. Topics for the program include:

Livestock Risk with Tyler Schultz, Farm Bureau Financial Services

Value-Added Programs with Doug Stanton, IMI Global
New Technologies with Mitchell Stephenson, University of Nebraska
“We are excited to host this new event. This symposium will be a great opportunity for area ranchers to ask questions and get up to date information on the cattle industry,” said Matt Fiechtner, president, McPherson County Farm Bureau.
Following the Symposium, a social hour and supper will take place. This is a great opportunity to socialize and have discussions with the speakers and attendees about topics that were presented. The cost of the social hour/supper will be $10 per person and proceeds will go to supporting the local FFA and 4-H programs.
