Mark Lewis Fundraiser Huge Success
Mark and son Coy

BROKEN BOW–A fundraiser held recently benefited accident victim Mark Lewis.  Mark had a motorcycle accident in October and has been unable to work and is looking at a long recovery period.

The Broken Bow Lions partnered with the Broken Bow Area Rotary, Kaci and Travis Johnson and their family, and Tim Conover to organize the event.

Approximately 90 auction items were donated, of those approximately 10 items were sold during the live auction.  The most popular item on the live auction was a beautiful toy barn donated by Snow Construction of Litchfield. Straight Arrow Bison Ranch donated 55 pounds of cooked bison for the lunch.  Jim Eberle was our volunteer auctioneer.

The Broken Bow Lions would like to thank everyone that was involved in this event, which was a huge success bringing in more than $15,000 to benefit Mark.

A note from Mark: “WHAT AN AMAZING DAY”

“My heart is full and my eyes are filled with tears…….this is why I live in the heart of Nebraska…… People caring for people…..there are sooooo many people to thank….. I will get to that soon BUT for now I want to thank everyone that organized and worked at this benefit ……..every act of kindness everyone has shown to my son Coy and myself……My family, friends, and the communities that shared their prayers.. love and kindness,” Mark Lewis said. “I’M FOREVER GRATEFUL, I LOVE YOU ALL, GOD BLESS.”
