Man, Woman Arrested for Receiving Package of Pot in Schuyler

SCHUYLER, Neb. - Two area residents are facing charges after authorities intercepted a package that contained pounds marijuana inside, according to documents. 22-year-old Bryan Lango of Fremont and 20-year-old Belen Cruz of Schuyler are both charged with conspiracy to deal marijuana. According to court records, on November 7th the US Postal Service found over six pounds of pot inside a package headed for a Schuyler address. Records say, Cruz picked up the package that was addressed to an alias, from a Schuyler apartment building, and told the postal worker that the package belonged to her. Cruz later told police she picked up the package for Lango, who was working at the time. Lango confirmed her account to police. Lango will be in court next Tuesday, while Cruz will have her next appearance in January.
