SCHUYLER - A Schuyler man has been sentenced to a maximum of 2 decades in prison for the death of a 15-year-old girl. Angel Lopez, 23, was sentenced to a minimum of 12 years and a maximum of 20 years, with credit for 203 days served, on the charge of manslaughter. Lopez was charged in the case, following an accident on June 15th of 2016, that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old girl. The accident occurred after Lopez fled from police, and eventually collided with a tree on west 6th Street . Lopez was sentenced on Wednesday in Colfax County.
