Man is arrested in connection with slaying at Shenandoah, Iowa, home

A man has been arrested in connection with a slaying Monday at a home in Shenandoah, Iowa.

Shenandoah police say Toby McCunn, 34, fatally shot Joshua L. Jordan, 33. McCunn was booked into the Page County Jail after being examined for a leg injury at a local hospital.

The shooting was reported at 4:45 a.m. Monday at 901 Manti St. in Shenandoah.

According to court documents, McCunn went to the residence in search of Jordan and was waiting there for him. When Jordan walked inside, McCunn fired several shots with a handgun. At the residence at the time were Kevin Weil, 32, and Brandy Baker, 30.

McCunn, of Red Oak, Iowa, was arrested about 2 p.m. Monday at another Shenandoah home.

An autopsy will be performed on Jordan’s body.

Multiple agencies are involved in the investigation. No further details were available.
