BROKEN BOW—A Broken Bow man is currently facing charges of first degree sexual assault, first degree false imprisonment, and third degree domestic assault. Marco Antonio Garcia, 29, appeared in Custer County Court on Monday for preliminary hearing. Garcia will appear in District Court on Thursday morning.
Also on Monday Kheshaun Z. Brown, 18, of Colorado appeared for alleged distribution of a controlled substance. He was appointed an attorney. Philip J. Beddie, Jr., 30, and Leighann M. Goins, 28, both appeared for preliminary hearings for alleged manufacturing a controlled substance (marijuana). Beddie and Goins are from Kentucky and their cases were continued.
The case of Karla A. Hickenbottom, 42, of Ansley was continued as she works to pay restitution for theft charges, according to County Attorney Steve Bowers. The case of Broken Bow man Sean Newman, 33, was also continued.
