A 25-year-old man died in one-vehicle rollover crash just before midnight Wednesday south of Hickman, Nebraska.
Francisco Gonzalez was pronounced dead inside the vehicle, according to deputies from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office. Gonzalez was found when deputies and a Hickman Rural Fire crew responded to a report of a vehicle fire in a ditch south of 68th Street between Stagecoach Road and Panama Road.
Investigators determined the vehicle was northbound at a high rate of speed on 68th Street just north of Panama Road when it went off the shoulder and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle then spun, went off the road and hit a tree before catching fire.
