Man Charged with Felony Identity Theft After 15 Years at Local Job

COLUMBUS - A Peru man is being charged with felony identity theft, after police found he had been working at a job for 15 years under a false name. An arrest affidavit says, 53-year-old Adriano Ynga, was working for a local business under the name Samuel Morales since 2002. The Platte County Sheriff's Office arrested Ynga, after an investigation, that spurred from a letter they received from an employee at the same business, says an arrest affidavit. Ynga is currently facing a class 2A felony for identity theft of $5,000 or more, which carries a maximum of 20 years in prison and a minimum of no time. Ynga has a felony status hearing on Monday in Platte County Court.
