Man Arrested on Highway 30 with Deadly Weapon

CHAPMAN - The  Merrick Couty Sheriff's office says they recently arrested a man driving illegally with a deadly weapon on Highway 30. The Sheriff's Office says they took Jesus Gonzales, of Grand Island, into custody after a traffic stop on Highway 30, near 7th Road. MCSO says Gonzales was jailed by authorities for felony possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person and driving under suspension. He was booked into the jail on December 30th, says MCSO.
