Man Arrested for Drug Felonies, in Front of School’s “Drug Free Zone” Sign

COLUMBUS - A man was arrested for felony drug charges, in front of a Cross County Community Shool's "Drug Free Zone" sign. Authorities say in an affidavit that Raymon Mastas, 19, of York, was allegedly speeding on Highway 81 headed south when an officer pulled in behind him to initiate a traffic stop. The affidavit says Mastas then turned onto Highway 66 and when the traffic stop was initiated, pulled over into the yard of Cross County Community Schools, in front of the "Drug Free Zone" sign. An investigation ensued, and Mastas was arrested for having unprescribed xanax, homemade ecstasy pills, marijuana less than an ounce, no proof of insurance, and speeding, says court records. Mastas is due in Polk County Court on February 22nd, says court records.
