COLUMBUS - A Columbus man is facing child abuse and strangulation charges after admitting to choking a teenager.
Police report in an affidavit that a 48-year-old man, was arrested after admitting to choking a teenager, after a verbal disagreement that turned physical. The incident occurred in early April on the west edge of Columbus.
The man faces two class 3A felony charges for strangulation and child abuse. 3A felonies carry a maximum sentence of three years in prison and eighteen months post-reese supervision, with no minimum sentence.
He is due in court on April 18th for an arraignment in Platte County Court.
