Man Accused of Stealing Cadillac in Leigh High School

SCHUYLER, Neb. –  Police say a Leigh man stole a SUV from a local high school and then left personal items in the vehicle.

Records say a 2006 Cadillac SRX was taken from Leigh High School on December 15th.

The next day, the vehicle was found in front of a Leigh residence and police located a coat and set of keys inside the SUV.

Police say the keys matched a Geo Metro belonging to 32-year-old Joseph Rojas that was recently towed. Security camera footage also showed Rojas wearing the same coat at a recent court appearance.

Rojas is charged with possession of stolen property, as well as trespassing and disturbing the peace from a separate incident.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
