The National Weather Service says there is growing confindence that a major winter storm will hit Nebraska this week.
The NWS says the track and timing of the storm could change before it hits, but say they currently expect it to hit the area on Wednesday evening into Thursday.
The NWS says accumulating snow, high winds, and low temperatures are expected to impact the area when the storm hits.
The NWS is asking all area residents to stay up to date, and to continue checking the forecast in the days leading up to its expected arrival, in case it changes course, intensifies, or lessens in severity.
