Lions Club Holds Christmas Party; Awards Presented To Members

The Broken Bow Lions Club held their annual Christmas party recently.
Steve Pedersen was presented the Melvin Jones Fellow award which is one of the highest awards given to Lions Club members.

Julie Toline was presented the Haskell-Biggs award as an honor to her service to the Broken Bow Lions Club. These awards are from the Nebraska Lions Foundation.

Steve Fowler received the Lion of the Year Award due to his dedicated service this past year to the Lions Club.

Walt Wolford was presented an award for 40 years of service to the Broken Bow Lions Club.

Don Wolford was presented an award for 13 years of service and Stephanie Evans and

Jackie Linville were both presented with awards for 10 years of service.

Mary Holland was sworn in as the newest member of the Broken Bow Lions Club.

The next event being planned by the Broken Bow Lions Club is a fundraiser to benefit Mark Lewis who had a terrible accident in October. The event will be held Sunday, March 24, 2019. Fliers will be out soon!

The Broken Bow Lions Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Tumbleweed. If you are looking for a place to volunteer we would welcome you to our club.
