Lincoln Woman Accused of Starting Fire Then Stealing and Crashing Truck

NORFOLK - A Lincoln woman is in Madison County Jail, accused of damaging property in two different counties. Norfolk Police Capt. Don Miller says 25-year old Rachel Church was arrested Tuesday after being released from the hospital. Police say she was injured after crashing a stolen truck in Pierce County on Sunday. Police say Church stole the pickup from the North Park Apartment Complex Sunday afternoon. That was after residents in another apartment in that complex told police Church tried to set a mattress on fire. The fire was put out by one of the residents. Church faces felony charges of arson and theft of a motor vehicle. She also had an arrest warrant in Burt County for driving with a suspended license.
