Lillie Kate Boutique Officially Open For Business On The Square

BROKEN BOW— Lillie Kate Boutique has officially opened their doors to the public in their Grand Opening on Thursday, September 20. The new boutique opens after the renovations were kept under wraps for the last few months. As soon as the doors opened, patrons flocked into the new store that had initially started as an in-home, online store. The success of the store was so great that owners Melanee Nixon and her husband Jon decided to purchase the building that Kids Kloset had previously been located in.

“The remodel took us a while and I wanted to keep things hush hush because I wanted the store to have a completely different feel to it than what it was before,” said owner Melanee Nixon. “Obviously it’s in the same location and we’ll still carry some of the same lines but I wanted people to walk in and be like wow this looks like a completely different store.”

The grand opening featured cookies and drinks for guests as they shopped the different lines of clothing throughout the store. A packed house filled the boutique as women, children, and a couple men filled the store to check out the new addition to the square.

“Today went really, really well. There was way more people in here than I was expecting, which is awesome, it is such a blessing,” said Melanee.

While the store may be sitting in the same location as the former Kids Kloset, the entire look of the store has changed and that is exactly how Melanee wants it to look. As soon as you walk into the boutique, the first impression that Melanee wants you to feel is openness.

Melanee said, “I want the store to be very open that’s why I have all of the clothes facing forward. So you can walk in the store is extremely open all of the clothing is facing forward that way you are not having to dig through racks you can see it and just take a big walk through the entire store as see if there is something you like instead of having to search.”
