LBPHD Moving Into Phase 2A; Vac. Allocations 10% High-Risk Medical Conditions, 90% Ages 50-64

Burwell, NE – Loup Basin Public Health Department and its partners will move into vaccinating those individuals in Phase 2A this week. In Phase 2A, 10% of the weekly vaccine allocations will be allotted to Nebraskans with high-risk medical conditions.

The decisions on who receives those doses will be made by the medical community. The other 90% of vaccine allocations in Phase 2A will go to Nebraskans ages 50-64.

LBPHD urges anyone interested in being vaccinated to register via https://vaccinate.ne.gov. Invitations for vaccination clinics will be made utilizing the statewide system. If you do not have access to the internet, individuals may call the DHHS COVID hotline (833) 998-2275 to be assisted with the registration process.

As of March 13th, 585,729 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered statewide. Within LBPHD’s 9-county district, 10,597 vaccinations have been administered.
