LBPHD: Friday, September 11 COVID-19 Update; Risk Dial Moved Up Slightly

LBPHD: Five new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the nine counties of Loup Basin’s district since Wednesday.

The cases were reported from:
Howard (4) -community spread, contact with known positive, travel to an area within the district to an area with ongoing transmission
Sherman (1)
-community spread

All known close contacts have been asked to quarantine.

Four new recoveries have been reported since Wednesday. The new recoveries are in Custer (1), Greeley (1), Sherman (1), and Wheeler (1) counties.

The dial has increased this week and now sits between yellow and orange. There continues to be community spread in Valley and Custer counties, as well as new concerns in Sherman and Howard counties. Other factors that figure into the risk dial calculation include healthcare capacity, testing availability, and the ability to conduct contact tracing efficiently.
