LBPHD Begins Vaccinating Children 5 Years and Older with Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

Loup Basin Public Health Department will be starting to administer the Pfizer  COVID-19 vaccine to individuals aged 5 and up. The Pfizer vaccine series for these individuals will be two doses, three weeks apart.  

Due to the pandemic, many individuals are behind on routine vaccinations. LBPHD offers all routine childhood vaccinations, limited adult vaccinations, and COVID-19 vaccines. Please contact the health department with questions or to schedule routine vaccinations.  

LBPHD offers Pfizer for those 5 years and older, and Moderna or Johnson & Johnson for those who are 18 and older. COVID-19 booster shots are also available to those who are six months out from receiving your initial Moderna/Pfizer series, or two months out from receiving  Johnson & Johnson. To schedule a COVID-19 vaccination call the Health Department for an appointment on Tuesdays between 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM, walk-ins are also welcome. 

LBPHD will also be hosting public, walk-in clinics over the next few weeks to offer the COVID-19  vaccine, COVID-19 boosters, and the flu vaccine. Clinics will be held at the following locations: 

11/11 Bartlett @ the old school gym 10:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. 

11/18 Loup City @ the Community Center 10:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. 

11/24 Ord @ the Fire Hall 10:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. 

12/1 Sargent @ the Community Center 10:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M.
