Laurel Woman Arrested After Chase in Stanton County

PILGER - A Laurel woman is in jail after a chase with authorities in Stanton County. Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says 64-year old Erica Vazquez-Hernandez was arrested just before 7 p.m. Sunday. Sheriff Unger says Hernandez was driving a vehicle that had been reported driving erraticly in Colfax County. Unger says the car refused to stop for authorities while headed northbound on Highway 15. After leading authorities on a chase, Sheriff Unger says spike strips were used to stop the car in Pilger. Unger says the same vehicle had been reported driving the wrong way on Highway 30 west of Schuyler Sunday morning. Vazquez-Hernandez was arrested on multiple charges and taken to the Thurston County Jail.
