KEARNEY, NE (Mike Flood / News Channel Nebraska) – Mike Flood reports from The Archway in Kearney.
Traffic is moving along on I-80, but there is heavy rain coming down. This area could see thunderstorms between 3 PM and 8 PM today. The National Weather Service says the threat of a tornado is marginal, but possible.
Moving forward, snow will mix in with the rain starting late tonight and tomorrow will bring 60 mile per hour winds.
Right now, streams and rivers are saturated and flooding. News Channel Nebraska will be keeping an eye on the Wood River at Gibbon and Alda here in Central Nebraska where officials say there is potential for major flooding.
