TECUMSEH – Johnson County officials are confirming a death in a Sunday morning fire in the Village of Vesta.
Firefighters were dispatched at 5:18 a.m. to the village, but could not save the structure.
A press release says the “fatality appears to be an occupant of the structure.”
The Johnson County Attorney has ordered an autopsy. The identity of the victim is not being released pending notification of relatives.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
