Jimmy John’s Founder Personally Thanks Columbus Employees For Act Of Kindness

COLUMBUS - A story that has put the Columbus Jimmy John's in the national spotlight brought Jimmy John himself to northeast Nebraska on Saturday morning.  Jimmy John's founder and CEO Jimmy John Liautaud came to Columbus to personally thank the store's employees for assisting Columbus resident Greg Holeman to the hospital on October 20. Holeman's sister Lisa Nagengast had mistakenly called Jimmy John's instead of Holeman's social worker, but manager Jason Voss and delivery driver Zach Hillmer were able to help Holeman in his time of need. Liautaud said that he read about the story in the press before anyone told him about it, and he came to Columbus to show his appreciation to Hillmer with the gift of a new delivery vehicle.  Liautaud said that he thought it was a beautiful and heart-warming story, and he believes that situations like this should be put on a pedestal for everyone to see. Hillmer said that despite the tough nature of the situation, he believed that it was a no-brainer to help Holeman, and he thinks that more people should take the initiative and help out their fellow neighbor when given the chance.
