Jamesyn Harvey Benefit On Sunday, September 8

SARGENT— The benefit for Jamesyn Harvey is coming up on Sunday, September 8 with a day full of support and fun. According to the flyer, Jamesyn was born premature at 36 weeks, via emergency c-section, because he was not breathing.

He stayed in the NICU for a month. Jamesyn has numerous medical issues, most from birth, but some have recently been brought to light. This requires numerous trips to Children’s Hospital in Omaha, sometimes weekly.

Jamesyn has been a fighter since before he was born. So far he has had three surgeries in 2019 including one on his brain with another surgery planned as well. Doctors think he has an issue with the nerves in his brain. Jamesyn aspirates when he eats, which is why he currently has a feeding tube. Jamesyn requires physical, occupational and speech therapy.

This benefit is to raise funds to go toward costs of travel for a second opinion on his medical issues. Please attend this event and enjoy some great food.

The day will kick off with a Poker Run at 10 AM beginning at the Broken Bow Veterans Building. Registration is at 10 AM with $15 for the first hand and $10 for each additional hand. Pay out for high and low hand. First bike out at 11 AM ending at the Sargent Community Center at 5 PM.
