Hubbard Man Tased, Arrested After Fleeing From Authorities

SOUTH SIOUX CITY - A 36-year old Hubbard man faces numerous charges after an incident last Thursday that saw him flee from officers. According to the Dakota County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday when a deputy attempted to a stop a vehicle driven by Timothy J. Freeman near Highway 20 west of South Sioux City. The vehicle led officers on a brief chase that saw the South Sioux City Police Department employ a tire deflation device after it had turned onto Old Highway 20 west of South Sioux City. The vehicle then turned into a field after it became disabled and Freeman attempted to flee on foot. A deputy deployed a taser and Freeman was taken into custody according to authorities. Freeman faces a litany of charges including felony Flight to Avoid Arrest 2nd Offense and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Freeman was booked into the Dakota County Jail. The Dakota County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the South Sioux City Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
