Hearing on Industrial Tracts

PLATTE COUNTY- Some Manufacturing companies will be looking for new areas other then the industrial track in a central Nebraska County. At 9:00 A.M on Tuesday morning, the Platte County Board Of Supervisors met in Columbus. There were many items on the agenda, but the one that brought up the most discussion was whether or not some companies still qualified to remain in the industrial tracts. A request from the city asked the board to review the status on some of the companies to see if they still qualify. The board took about an hour and a half discussing this topic to make sure they ended with the right decision. Platte County District 4 Supervisor Ronald Pfeifer said that the board reviewed 13 manufacturers that are currently in the tracts, and  potentially all but two companies were not approved.
