Broken Bow–Healing Hearts & Families provides services to 8 counties & 7,000 square miles including Blaine, Custer, Garfield, Greeley, Loup, Sherman, Valley & Wheeler counties. Their 24-hour crisis line staff can be reached at 800-942-4040 or 308-872-5988, which connects survivors with an advocate who is available to support the domestic or sexual abuse survivor or help the survivor identify services they need.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month:
Due to Covid-19 HHF was forced to cancel their annual gala. HHF will be using Domestic Violence Awareness Month as a way to raise awareness and funds to continue their commitment to create communities safe and free from domestic violence.
The HHF online fundraiser will take place Tuesday, October 6th through Friday, October 9th. The fundraiser will be held on the HHF Facebook page.
The online auction will begin on Tuesday, October 6th, at 1:00 pm and conclude on Friday evening, October 9th, at 8:00 pm. Items that were not picked up from the previous auction will be placed on the October auction and bidding will start over. The last bidder at 8:00 pm is presumed to be the winning bidder. All decisions are made final by the auction coordinator.
Healing Hearts & Families’ services include 24-hr crisis line, safe shelters, protection & harassment orders, transportation, financial assistance, crisis support, professional referrals, education & prevention programs. All services are confidential & provided without charge.
