Hazardous Winter Weather Expected, snowfall totals could be as high as 4 inches

Hazardous winter weather is expected today with the greatest impacts anticipated along the I-80 corridor into the southern Sandhills. Snow will be moderate to heavy at times this morning into afternoon with visibility as low as 1/2 mile. Low visibility due to falling snow and blowing snow at times.

Northeast winds today gusting 25-35 mph across southwest NE and parts of the southern Sandhills producing areas of blowing and drifting snow. Reduced visibilities due to falling and blowing snow.

Impacted counties include Grant, Hooker, Thomas, Blaine, Loup, Garfield, Logan, Custer, Perkins, and Lincoln.
