Great Western Bank staff member tests negative for COVID-19

BROKEN BOW— The Great Western Bank (GWB) branch in Broken Bow took some extra precautions for a COVID-19 scare this past week. GWB Retail Manager Mason Lammers told KCNI/KBBN that an employee at the Broken Bow branch began showing COVID-19 like symptoms around March 26.

The bank decided out of an abundance of caution to close the branch immediately and deep clean the entire building. The staff at GWB in Broken Bow were sent home and told to self-quarantine until April 13 or until notified.

On March 31, the drive-thru was opened with modified hours with a bank employee from another GWB branch working in Broken Bow.

On April 3, Lammers said the employee in question tested negative for COVID-19 and the branch is now operating normally with the lobby closed to appointment only and the drive-thru open from 8 AM to 5 PM.
