Gas Station Worker Cited for Selling to Minor

COLUMBUS - A local gas station attendant was cited on Saturday, after allegedly selling tobacco to a minor. The attendant was cited on Saturday at a gas station on 8th Street, and could be charged with a class V misdemeanor. If found guilty of a class 5 misdemeanor, the penalty is a $100 fine. In the state of Nebraska, a minor caught in possession of tobacco can avoid being cited, if they tell authorities who sold them the tobacco, according to state law.
