The Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce encourages anyone and everyone to register for the Broken Bow 5K Color Run on Saturday, September 30. Registration fee is $30 per runner — deadline to register is September 15, 2017.
The Chamber gives the following reasons to sign up!
1. Color canons and a special color powder toss party before the race
2. the race goes from Melham Park to Kinkaider Brewing Co. and everyone 21+ gets a free beer at the finish line
3. There will be a shuttle to take runners back to Melham after the race
4. Each runner gets a color run t-shirt, a .75g pack of color powder, and sunglasses
5. Color runs are fun for everyone! You don’t need to be a runner to enjoy this event. Run at your own pace, all ages are invited to participate.
*1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals will be awarded (men and women divisions) and there will be a special prize for the runner with the most spirit and craziest outfit!*
Day of registration is available but anyone who registers after Septembr 15th will not receive a t-shirt, color pack, or sunglasses with their participant bag.
If you are over 21 and would like a free beer at the finish line, you must be prepared to show ID.
All runners must sign a waiver form before participating in the Broken Bow 5K Color Run. There will be a water station along the route. Part of the route is on the shoulder of Airport and Paulsen Road. There will be officers and volunteers guiding traffic. It is recommended that any child under the age of 8 is accompanied by an adult at all times. The Broken Bow Chamber is not responsible for any injuries or accidents.
