Fremont Relief Center Continues Mission

FREMONT – Several relief and supply centers across Eastern Nebraska remain open to help those most effected by the flooding.

Residents of Fremont were among those hardest hit and one supply center is still open and distributing items like cleaning supplies and non-perishable food.

Volunteer Mike Aerni says the situation is improving and the shelter will stay open until they are no longer needed.

Aerni says the help the center provides goes beyond just handing out food. Volunteers ask about the specific needs of people that come in for help.

Most supplies at the center are donations from across the country from states like Texas, Tennessee and Wyoming.
