Fremont Man Charged in Deadly Cement Truck Crash

Omaha, NE.—A Fremont man is accused of "reckless, willful" driving in an October cement- truck crash that killed two other men. 20-year-old Austin Holloway, who was driving the big mixer, is charged with two counts of motor vehicle homicide. According to court records, Holloway was driving for Consolidated Concrete of Omaha when the truck overturned while making a right-hand turn crushing the driver and passenger of a Chrysler Sebring.
Michael Dearden and Phillip Hertel were killed. They had been working on a painting job and were headed to lunch. The crash occurred in the intersection of 120th and Giles Road in LaVista.
