Food Drive and Raffle during Friday’s BB vs. Cozad Basketball Game

BROKEN BOW—“Have a heart” this week and donate to the Broken Bow Public School canned food drive. The middle school CIA and high school student council are teaming up to collect non-perishable items and donate to the Custer County Food Pantry.

The classes have been having in-school competitions all week long and it all leads up to Friday night’s basketball game against Cozad. Plan on attending Friday night and bring with you a donation item to help our own community. (323 N 7th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822.)

In addition, there will be a 50/50 split-the-pot raffle on Friday night. Raffle tickets are $1 each or an arm length of tickets for $10.

The money raised will also go to the Custer County Food Pantry.

“On Friday we will be doing a 50/50 raffle ticket draw and the money that the student council receives will go to the food pantry in order to buy fresh meat and other things they may need,” Gracie Williams said.

High school students, Gracie Williams, Josie Bailey, and Juliana Hovie encourage everyone to remember the need that exists in our own backyards and donate to a local organization in our community.
