Follow the Rails Art Trail at Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway this Weekend

Visit the Sandhills Journey Scenic Byway Interpretive Center (on East Highway 2 in Broken Bow) October 20 and 21 for the Follow the Rails Art Trail Solo Show, featuring Lucy Yanagida.

Art will be on display Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This event is hosted in collaboration with the Custer Economic Development Corporation.

Meet and Greet on Friday from 6-7 p.m.

About the Artist: Lucy Yanagida is a landscape and wildlife artist living in the beautiful foothills of Superior, Colorado. Her subject matter is often influenced by the abundant wildlife within steps of her back door. She earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree with emphasis in art history during her college years in Louisiana. Later, she returned to school and earned an associates degree in graphic design. And she has studies with some of the top-rated painters in Colorado such as, Jill Soukup, Dave Santillanes, Marc Hanson, and William Scott Jennings. Her ongoing mentorship with wildlife painter, Edward Aldrich, is truly inspiring.

In addition, all are invited to join Deb Bryner of Deb’s Embroidery Shop in the loft. She will be displaying and offering her beautifully made quilts and projects from her shop right here in Broken Bow!
