Flags are to be flown at half staff in Norfolk on Wednesday, April 25th to honor Milton Beed.
NORFOLK - Flags are to be flown at half-staff to honor a fallen Norfolk native who has returned home. Gov. Pete Ricketts has granted a request by Norfolk Mayor Josh Moenning for U.S. and Nebraska flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Sgt. 1st Class Milton Beed, a Korean War veteran and prisoner of war whose remains were recently identified and returned to his native town of Norfolk. Flags will be flown at half-staff in Norfolk on the day of his funeral, Wednesday, April 25, from dawn until dusk.
