Omaha, NE.—A fired Nebraska State Trooper has pleaded not guilty to charges that could put him behind bars for up to two years, following an exclusive investigation by News Channel Nebraska.
Tim Flick is charged with automobile homicide, careless driving and “making false statements under oath” to a grand jury, all tied to a high speed chase and crash that left one man dead and the patrol knee-deep in talk of a cover up.
32-year-old Antoine LeDeaux, who was driving drunk and on the run, died in October, 2016 following a controversial crash that found LeDeaux ejected from his car and Flick changing his after-the-crash story.

After then-Superintendent Brad Rice was fired, his right-hand man—Lt. Colonel Thomas Schwarten— retired, Major Mike Gaudreault and Captain Jamey Balthazor were demoted, and Sgt. Travis Wallace was disciplined.
Flick spent 20 years with the patrol and was shot three times during a 2012 armed standoff.
Flick's trial is scheduled for June.
