Fire at Norfolk Truck Stop Severely Damages Semi

NORFOLK – A semi truck is all-but destroyed after a fire at a truck stop.

Norfolk Fire Captain Lannce Grothe says the Fire Division was sent to Love’s Truck Stop on the south end of Norfolk just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters say the saw heavy flames and smoke coming from the engine and cab of the semi.

The fire was brought under control after about five minutes, and caused over $50,000 worth of damage. No one was hurt.

Captain Grothe says the cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature.
