BROKEN BOW–Nebraska Game and Parks Commission’s (NGPC) Family Fishing Nebraska Program is hosting a Family Fishing event at Melham Park on Friday, July 20 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Look for the colorful fishing trailer where rods and reels will be available to borrow, bait, and certified fishing instructors ready to help.
The event is FREE to the public and no experience is necessary.
All participants age 16 or older need a 2018 valid fishing permit if they fish at the event. All participants under the age of 16 will receive a free youth fishing permit, signed by a Certified Youth Fishing Instructor or the local conservation officer. The permit will not expire until the participant turns 16 years old.
This Fort Kearny-based Family Fishing Nebraska trailer has all of the current NGPC fishing guides, fishing forecast pamphlets for Nebraska’s Public fisheries and other literature available including a limited number of fish ID booklets.
