False Imprisonment Charge Levied After Norfolk Disturbance

NORFOLK - A Norfolk man faces multiple charges after a disturbance at his apartment. Norfolk Police Captain Michael Bauer says 19-year old Ethan Jimenez was arrested early Friday. Police were called to an apartment on Glenmore Drive around 5:30 a.m. Friday morning. Neighbors told police they heard an argument getting loud, and officers say when they arrived they heard a woman inside saying things like "Stop!" and "You're Hurting Me!" Once officers entered the apartment, they say Jimenez wouldn't let them talk to the woman at first, and he had to be handcuffed and taken away. The victim eventually told police that Jimenez woudn't let her leave the apartment, pushing into another room and taking away her cellphone. Police arrested Jimenez for a number of charges, including felony false imprisonment, misdemeanor assault and obstruction of an officer. He's currently housed in the Madison County Jail.
