Duncan Sex Offender Arrested for String of Burglaries

DUNCAN - A Sex Offender is facing 15 felony charges, and over 170 years in prison in 4 separate counties, after a string of burglaries around the area. Randall Armagost, 29, is a registered sex offender in Nebraska, charged with sexually assaulting a minor in 2009 in Merrick County, says the NSO Registry. Court records list adresses for Armagost in both Duncan and Central City, and Armagost is being charged with a litany of burglaries throughout the area. Armagost is being charged in Boone, Merrick, Hamilton, and Howard Counties, and an affidavit says Armagost could also be connected to a burglaries in Polk, York, and Buffalo counties, but charges have not yet been filed. Court documents say the burglaries included breaking into a cafe in Silver Creek, a bar in Palmer, several stores in St. Edward, among others. Armagost faces a total of 15 felonies for charges including; burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools, and being a habitual criminal. If convicted on all of the current charges, Armagost would face a maximum penalty of over 170 years in prison.
