Drunk Driver Injured After Slamming Car into Cinderblock Building

COLUMBUS - A driver who tested positive for alcohol, was injured after slamming his car into a building. Columbus Police reports say the Oklahoma man was driving westbound on 7th street, when his car skid through 33rd Avenue and Pawnee Park Drive, before slamming into a cinder block building. The building is owned by the city and damage to the building was estimated at $20,000, says reports. The vehicle was totaled, and the 27-year-old man was transported to the Columbus Community Hospital and his vehicle was totaled, say CPD reports. Reports say the man tested positive for alcohol and the accident occurred at 12:52 a.m. on Saturday.
