Congratulations to Natasha Morris, Lauren Svoboda, and Ava Williams on being selected to receive the Don Davis Early Entry Access Scholarship this spring! Natasha Morris is the daughter of Shawn & Amber Morris, Lauren Svoboda is the daughter of John & Megan Svoboda, Ava Williams is the daughter of Greg & Tara Williams.  This scholarship will be used for the class they are enrolled in this spring at Mid-Plains Community College – Broken Bow Campus.  

Three scholarships were available this semester through the Don Davis Early Entry Access Scholarship fund administered by the Custer County Foundation.  Broken Bow High School students currently enrolled in the Early Entry Access Program at Mid-Plains Community College – Broken Bow Campus are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students eligible to receive the ACE Scholarship are not eligible for the Davis Scholarship.

Lucas Bell is the son of Nate & Lisa Bell, Natasha Morris is the daughter of Shawn & Amber Morris, Gage Waterhouse is the son of Todd & Jennifer Waterhouse, Ava Williams is the daughter of Greg & Tara Williams.  This scholarship will be used for the class they are enrolled in this spring at Mid-Plains Community College – Broken Bow Campus.

Students eligible to receive the ACE Scholarship are not eligible for the Class of 1959 Scholarship.

To qualify for the ACE scholarship the student or student’s family must be approved to participate in one of the federal need-based government programs listed below, have experienced an extreme hardship that affects family income, or be participating in a designated Career Education program as established by the Nebraska Department of Education.

  • Free or Reduced-Price Lunch Program
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Special Supplemental Assistance Program (WIC)

Students receiving the ACE scholarship were not eligible for the Davis or Class of 1959 scholarship because the ACE scholarship already pays for their tuition.
