District Court held Thursday, September 21 (Custer County Judicial Center in Broken Bow)

Thursday morning in District Court was brief at the Custer County Judicial Center. Many cases originally scheduled were continued to future dates.

Nicole K. Peterson, 33, of Broken Bow appeared for pretrial for alleged theft of a vehicle but her case was continued to a jury trial in February at the request of her attorney Jesus Tena.

Jonathan W. Lindner, 23, of Broken Bow did not appear in court but his case was continued at the request of attorney Mike Borders to September 21 at 10am.

County Attorney Steve Bowers filed a dismissal on Thursday morning for the case of Gene K. Wood, 65, of Mason City.

A motion to modify an order was made for Jeffery H. Mann, 31 of Berwyn. The order will be modified to request an ignition interlock for his vehicle.

Cleveland D. Sledge, 51 of Broken Bow, was originally schedule for sentencing but his case was continued to September 21. An evaluation is pending in order for Sledge to be considered as a candidate for probation. In July, Sledge had pled guilty to a Class IV felony: possession of a financial transaction device. The state read that Sledge had stolen bank cards and credit cards and used them out of town this past June.
