BROKEN BOW – Custer County District Court saw two sentencings and an arraignment on Thursday, August 4.
Chance Smith, 31 of Cozad, was arraigned on five alleged charges: first-degree assault, two robberies (all Class II felonies), third-degree assault (Class I misdemeanor), and criminal mischief (Class III misdemeanor). Smith pled not guilty to all charges, and his case will go to a jury trial in October.
Danny Millsap, 54 of Broken Bow, was sentenced to two-year probation after having previously been found guilty of possession of a controlled substance.
Justin Spencer, 47 of Sargent, was sentenced to five years probation after receiving an earlier guilty verdict on a third-degree domestic assault charge (Class IIIA felony).
