Diaper Depot Fundraiser in the BB City Square this Saturday

BROKEN BOW–The 5th Anniversary Diaper Depot fundraiser will be taking place this Saturday, June 8 in the Broken Bow City Square from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Volunteers will be serving sloppy joes, potato salad, baked beans, macaroni salad, chips, cake, and drinks. $6 for the full meal, $3 sloppy joe only, $1 drink. Food has been donated by local grocery stores.

In case of bad weather, food will be at the First Baptist Church.

A trustee at the First Baptist Church Dennis Pace said the Diaper Depot handed out 532 packages of diapers in the last month serving 268 families. Other services are also available and Pace said donations are always welcome.

“We not only do diapers and wipes, we have baby clothes, baby food, formula, and we also do some other things there,” Pace said. “The main objective of the diaper depot is to take care of the needy out there. Our young parents right now, especially single parents, are just struggling beyond what you can imagine,” he added.
