BROKEN BOW–Custer County 4-H students will be working the runway on Thursday night! The Custer County 4-H Public Fashion Show will take place on July 19 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Broken Bow (2079 Memorial Dr, Broken Bow, NE 68822).
The public is invited to attend this free event to support local students who have practiced their sewing and constructed beautiful clothing items.
Michelle Gibbens with the Custer County Extension Office said those who have submitted clothing construction entries will be judged on Thursday morning and chosen by the afternoon. Winners will model their clothing items on the runway.
The 4-H Fashion Show is open to those ages 8-18 and those 12 and older may have the opportunity to continue to the state fair.
Gibbens also said that the Thumbs Up 4-H Club received the most purple ribbons at last year’s event and therefore won the honor of decorating the church for the event. This year’s theme is “Stylin’ Under the Sea.”
